I've been a customer since the mid 90s. Their restaurant is great...recommend huevos ranchero for breakfast and the taco Tuesday special. Our family has been purchasing birthday cakes from them since 1994. All of their baked goods are phenomenal. Very friendly staff.

Easy going atmosphere. Great local Mexican restaurant !! The tamales are yummy!! Red or green, they are good ! It is a family owned restaurant. The tamales are ready to be ordered for the holidays!!!

Continues to be such a great place for breakfast. We don't go often because it (like every place) is expensive, but when we try to make time for a breakfast date this is where I want to go. I stick with the chilaquiles verde con huevos. $17. I can never finish it but my husband gladly does. But I eat small portions. So good and delicious and not greasy at all. Wish it came with with tortillas. 3 tortillas is $6.64. Yikes. But flour tortillas are good. Small but good. Please add tortillas to breakfast. Gets too costly. The orange juice is from the jug but yummy. It's $5.30, crazy how expensive things has gotten. Great service and great good. Plenty of seating inside and outside

10/10. Deff best mexican wedding cookies ive ever had. Very friendly and helpful customer service. And as someone that moved from orange county and hasnt been able to find real authentic mexican food that isn't velveta cheese or caned beans. The breakfast burito i had was a home run. Huge and yummy. Very satisfied

Came by to order a birthday cake. I'll review that experience once we get the cake. Ordering was easy and they worked with what I was requesting. I needed a small birthday cake with a paw patrol image. I don't pick it up for a few days but will update review. We did get some cookies and pastries. So far everything has tasted great. Didn't try the restaurant.

Mission San Luis Rey Bakery, and Restaurant, Oceanside, CA - November 22, 2023 We came here for lunch on Wednesday afternoon after visiting the mission. The first thing you see as you walk in is the bakery counter, which looked really good. We were a party of six, and they needed to set up a table for us when we got there. The ambulance is nothing special in the dining room. Basic chairs and tables. They got us water and menus right away and then brought over two amazingly TINY baskets of chips. I think there were about eight chips in each basket, if that. I had a bad first impression of that and asked for some more chips. They brought one more tiny basket of chips. I was thinking wow, if this is any indication of how good this place is, we're in trouble. Boy, was I wrong. Our group ordered the Carne Asada Quesadilla, a Carnitas burrito, and a crispy Carnitas taco. The quesadillas came with guacamole. The food was incredibly well seasoned and delicious. They did bring us three more baskets of chips when I asked them. After lunch, we headed over to the bakery to buy some cookies. Although the cookies look delicious, they were dry and weren't the best I've ever had. One star for the skimpy amount chips, eight stars for the delicious food, and three stars for the cookies.
